Yak Adventure Equipment launches new Horizon drysuit and more at PADDLEexpo 2019
24 September 2019

Yak will be introducing into their range a new drysuit, ‘Horizon’ which will make its debut at this year’s PaddleEXPO.  The Horizon boasts several key features, which any paddler would welcome on their next adventure.  Including, but not limited to, a hard wearing, 3-layer, breathable fabric.

Most interesting though is the adjustable neoprene waistband combined with a unique stretch mesh back panel, setting the Horizon apart from other products currently available.  This, combined with the flexible internal braces, creates a custom-fit feel for a wide range of sizes, and gives an unsurpassed range of movement.

Pete Ford, YAK’s Brand Manager, comments – “Our all new Yak Horizon drysuit is a perfect synergy of features taken from the Paddlesport, Commercial and Military arenas. Yak’s latest collaboration with the Design team here at Survitec is an ultimate combination of expertise in the field and quality production ‘’

Other features included within the suit include; pre-articulated arms and legs, providing unrestrictive movement to enhance the suit’s athletic performance .  Cross shoulder YKK Aquaseal, flexible dry zip is positioned for minimum restriction and allows the wearer to don the suit easily.  Finally, a Cordura reinforced double layered seat and knees provide extra protection to the areas of high wear to increase longevity and durability

Moreover, Yak will also re-introduce the new & improved Xipe 60N!

The new Xipe features an updated adjustment system, to make getting the perfect fit even easier, and reconfigured pockets to give maximum storage with minimum bulk.

This buoyancy aid is perfect for ‘touring without tiring’ and according to Sitons review is “snug, yet practical and one any paddler would be happy to include in their kit box. Having zipped securely, it does hug paddlers. Feeling more like a second skin it allows freedom of movement which is great for distance kayaking, paddling in mellow waves or simply pootling along your local stretch. It’s therefore a good option for everyday kayaking.’’
