DID YOU KNOW?
With an origin tracing back to 1957, we are the pioneers of the first gas operated lifejacket which subsequently set the benchmark for the design and function for the leisure user.
Our origin story
Our brand was first incorporated under the name ‘Crewsaver Marine Equipment Ltd’ in Gosport on the South coast of England. We’re proud to say our headquarters are still based here and located very close to our birthplace. Over the last 60+ years, we have developed a specialist knowledge in what is known as Survival Technology. Our success in this area then prompted us to expand into general watersport sectors with our performance range of clothing, drysuits and liferafts.
Designed and developed with advanced testing procedures, our products are currently sold to 96 countries worldwide, and supported by a global network of corporate offices and 400 service stations.
In 2011, we were acquired by Survitec, the world’s largest Survival Technology solutions provider, which has broadened and deepened our product portfolio and support network. We are now part of a team 3000+ strong and share a respectable brand portfolio which includes the likes of Hansen Protection, Lyngsoe Rainwear and Yak Adventure Equipment.

Trusted to protect lives
Our expert designers work in collaboration with the most experienced lifeboat crews including the RNLI, KNRM and SNSM. As well as elite athletes and defence operatives used to pushing their limits. With their unique insight we are able, step by step, to refine every aspect of our product’s design and construction. We feed these innovations directly into each of our lifejacket ranges, whether for commercial or leisure use, ensuring that whatever your reason for being afloat, your safety is never compromised.
